Special Tourist Visa (STV)
 
*** with effective period from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022 ***

1. Eligibility        
1.1 Brazilian Residents (Brazilian citizens and Permanent Residents) including their spouses and legitimate child/children (not over 20 years of age) who wish to stay in Thailand for a period up to 90 days (can be extended 2 times, 90 days each). 
1.2 Must not be a person prohibited from entering the Kingdom as provided by the Immigration ActB.E. 2522 (1979).        
1.3 Applicant must have no criminal record in Thailand and the country of the applicant’s nationality and residence.
1.4 Applicant must not have prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535

Please be reminded that STV is for tourism purpose ONLY. Employment is prohibited. If found out, a stay permit maybe revoked or the person will be blacklisted from entering Thailand.

2. Visa application for Special Tourist Visa (STV)
2.1 Required documents for visa application (submission online is required)
       2.1.1 A passport valid for more than 12 months from the date of entry to Thailand;
       2.1.2 A fully paid hotel reservation (after completing quarantine in AQ) until the departure date issued by the hotel showing the duration of stay, and hotel’s contact details and tax ID number; or A fully paid residential lease in Thailand (after completing quarantine in AQ) until the departure date issued by the lessor showing the duration of stay, and the lessor’s contact details and tax ID number; or A hire-purchase or mortgage agreement of immovable property (if the payment has been paid less than 2 installments). or A certificate of ownership of a property in Thailand; or Evidence of hire-purchase contract in Thailand with at least two installments paid.
       2.1.3 A Thai medical insurance covering hospitalization and emergency/accident for the entire period of stay in Thailand, with a coverage for outpatient treatment of no less than 40,000 baht and inpatient treatment of no less than 400,000 baht.        2.1.4 A medical certificate showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14(B.E. 2535) certificate shall be valid for not more than three months Click here
       2.1.5 STV applicants are required to have insurance covers for medical expenses related to COVID-19 at the amount not less than USD 100,000, with its effective period of 1 year or they have to present a return ticket in case of staying not more than 90 days with insurance to cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand. 

Dependents of the Special Tourist Visa Applicant
              Dependents of the applicant are entitled to apply for the same category of Visa.The additional required documents are as follows;

For Spouse (No age restriction)
A copy of Marriage Certificate in English.

Please note that spouse of the applicant is also required to submit his/her own original bank statement which states bank contact information and deposit with the equivalent amount of not less than 500,000 Baht for the last 6 months, where applicable.

For Child (Under 20 years old)
A copy of Birth Certificate in English.

In case that the child of the applicant does not have own bank’s account, the applicant can submit, on behalf of the child, the applicant’s bank statement with the equivalent amount of not less than 1,000,000 Baht for the last 6 months in order to cover the applicant and the child’s required bank deposit, where applicable.
